A few things real quick . . .

• The New Name - Tom will now be referred to as simply "Tom Giacchi - The Yeti".  Thanks for all of you who voted, and the second poll obviously made the difference (with 60% voting for "The Yeti").  Also it reminds us to inform you, the the nascaryeti.com URL will remain active for a bit longer, but we will be switching everything to a new web address.  It is not currently linked up, but the new address will be (tomgiacchi.com) as well as (itsyetiseason.com). So we will let you know when those are active.
• For those of you who purchased "The NASCAR Yeti" gear from the website.  I don't think you'll have to return your items . . . unless NASCAR shows up at your door (which I doubt they will do) or they catch you wearing it at the track (still not likely).  In fact you may want to hold on to the merchandise you got.  There were only 19 items shipped in the two days the store was open.  Meaning, only 19 products were ever made with the NASCAR Yeti logo, period.
• BREAKING NEWS - YETI SPOTTING - If you're in Columbia right now, head up to D. Rowe's because Tom and The Clan are hanging out, watching Carl race below the border.
• In the Press - The Nascar Yeti received a little local press or web blurb on the "Carrie and Uncle" section of Clear 99's website.  Carrie and Uncle are the morning talent in Columbia, and they were covering Carl, and gave the Yeti a little love as well.  Here is the link to their site, so check it out.  Carrie and Uncle in the Morning on Clear 99.

Wish I could have made it to D.Rowes to watch the race with Tom and the gang...but apparently the horse show season is interrupting my racing season.

I'm sad that you had to change the name, but I'm very glad that I ordered my gear (and received shipping confirmation) before the change. Thanks, Tom. You have my support regardless of the name!

It's a bummer you had to change the name, but I completely understand why.

I will be in Atlanta sporting my Shave Tom shirt on raceday (that is if Carl does not win in Las Vegas). =)

I finally find this place, only to find out that the Yeti gear is gone... the sadness of overwhelming.

Well, either way, this blog is WAY over due! Congrats, Tom! Those Shave Tom shirts are everywhere, aren't they!

Here's an idea... how about a counter noting how many days the beard has been going on! I think that would be cool...

And though I would love to see a win ASAP, I am ESPECIALLY wanting an Atlanta win. Because and Atlanta win means a BRISTOL SHAVE! And a BRISTOL shave means a re-appearance of the "Tom-girls" from Atlanta! May need to do some editing of the shirts, but we are ready to roll out!
